Natalia holds a PhD in Communication and Education from the University of Alcalá.
Her research interests are related to new media applications in educational scenarios, both formal and informal. More specifically, she is interested in how these resources are relevant to create and develop more inclusive and innovative practices. She has been a visiting scholar at Aarhus University and University of Gothenburg, more specifically at LinCS.
As part of her teaching and research activities, she is a volunteer at MediaLab-Prado, part of the CoderDojo program, where she mentors children and youngsters to create games, digital stories and animations by using Scratch.
